Can it do more than I could?

It uses your account and your permissions. Nothing it can do, you couldn't do yourself.

Does it get write access automatically?

Reading and changing are asked for separately.

Can my assistant see the answer key?

Answer keys stay with the teacher. A student's assistant never sees them.

What if I want to stop?

Disconnect any time in Settings → Connected apps.

Your students' assistants work inside your homework.

The homework you assign is what their assistant reads. Answers come back into the same editor you already use, with your feedback in place — you don't change anything about how you teach.

Which assistants work today?

Claude — web, desktop, mobile and Claude Code — works today. ChatGPT connects through its connectors, where developer mode may still be needed. Gemini's custom connector support is rolling out; the address is ready for it.

Does it cost anything?

Connecting is free. You pay for the platform the same way you do now.
